Step 2 : Answer to the question "What U.S. lake contains islands named Buck, Moose, and Hawk?"
Lake Placid, New York - Located in the Adirondacks Mountains of northeastern New York, Lake Placid is famous for twice hosting the Winter Olympics, first in 1932 and again in 1980. The 1.5-square-mile natural freshwater lake has three islands. Of them, Moose Island is the largest, but you probably won’t see any moose there anymore — the animal has unfortunately become a rare sight. Both Moose Island and Buck Island are dotted with homes accessible only by boat. Hawk Island is Lake Placid’s smallest island and is located the furthest north. The entire island is privately owned, but it is available to rent for a secluded private island getaway. :
